Apple tea (Turkish-style)
Applies to: hot, sweet, clear apple tea made from apple-tea granules or brewed with dried apple, served in small glasses.
- Granule method: add apple-tea granules to the glass and pour in the 90-95°C water.
- Dose granules to package guidance or house recipe, then adjust sweetness to taste.
- Dried-apple method: steep dried apple (and any spice) in the hot water for 8-10 minutes until amber and fragrant.
- Longer steeping deepens color and flavor; strain before the fruit starts to taste flat.
- Stir until any granules or added sugar fully dissolve.
- For the dried-apple method, strain through a fine mesh into the pre-warmed glass for a clear cup.
- Serve hot; garnish with a thin apple slice or a light cinnamon dusting if desired.
